Since, O Mazda, from the beginning, Thou didst create soul and body, mental power and knowledge and since Thou didst place life within the corporeal body and didst bestow to mankind the power to act, speak and guide, you wished that everyone should choose his or her own faith and path freely.

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Kind words are like honeycomb; sweet to the soul and health for the bones.

and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

For through him (Jesus Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, 'The two will become one flesh.' But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

O soul at rest! Return to your Lord well-pleased and well-pleasing.

By the soul and the One who fashioned it, then with the knowledge of right and wrong inspired it. Successful indeed is the one who purifies their soul — and failed is the one who corrupts it.

While the material body is mortal and subject to destruction, the soul that dwells within it is eternal and immeasurable.

Through constant effort over many lifetimes, a person becomes purified from all selfish desires and attains perfection in this life.

The devotee of Mine who is non-envious possessing benevolence towards all living entities, compassionate with no sense of proprietorship, free from false ego, equal in distress and happiness, forgiving, the always content one perfecting the science of uniting the individual consciousness with the Ultimate Consciousness, self-controlled, with unflinching determination, dedicating mind and spiritual intelligence upon Me is very dear to Me.

Three forces (gunas) bind the eternal soul to this temporary body; (Sattva) pure goodness liberates us to happiness and wellness; (Raja) selfish passion drives us to compulsive actions; and (Tamas) ignorance compels us to delusions through negligence and indolence. In their battle for dominance, whichever force has overtaken the other two, dictates your actions revealing your spiritual influence.

Devotion to God elevates your soul beyond nature's shifting forces (gunas - Sattva, Raja, Tamas), uniting your spirit with Brahman.

The Lord is hidden in the hearts of all.
